If only we didn't have to... I mean. We're writers, right? We just want to write.
The sad fact is that EVERYONE needs to market. They really ought to teach it in school. In fact, it ought to be the FIRST thing you learn and your major focus.
It starts with your brand, and composing ad and brochure copies and writing reviews and letters to people of influence. But then comes the really tedious part. Door knocking, phone calls, blog posts, leaflet distribution, book launches, book signings... On and on it goes. And it's all hard work. And it takes you away from what you want to do... what you really do best.
Sorry, we don't claim to have a magic bullet for this particular gun. We're learning too. But we know quite a few tricks and secrets.
Watch this space for articles on marketing, and our soon to be released mini-course: "Social Network Marketing for Writers" - guaranteed to be fun and enlightening, and to pave the way for your use of LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and more to drive recognition, positive perception, and BOOK SALES.
